Your business must meet the following qualifications:

• At least 51% owned by a Black woman or women, or a Black person/people who identifies/identify as a woman/women.

• Registered and actively operating in Michigan for at least 1 year.

• Willing to attend one mentorship meeting offered by the board. These meetings are offered in May and September.

• Has a business bank account and can show at least 3 months of statements.​

To apply, we request that any interested and qualified business owners:

• Provide a 3-minute video introducing yourself and your business. Please share how you intend to use the funds.

• We will award Lifts (micro-grants) in May and in September, each in the amount of up to $2,500.

  • You will be notified of the board’s decision in April and August.

• Applications will be open for the months of April and August.
